Introduction to Climate Change and its Intersectionality
This workshop will embark on a journey to explore the profound intersectionality of climate change and the vital role young people play in shaping a sustainable future. This interactive and thought-provoking session is designed to empower participants with knowledge, skills, and a sense of agency to address the complexities of the environmental crisis. The themes that will be discussed will include health, gender, race, food, energy, and more.

First, mentees will have the opportunity to conduct stakeholder mapping: Identify key stakeholders, including local authorities, community leaders, businesses, and residents who fall in the categories of gender, health, energy, etc. Then, mentees will leave with a plan for advocating climate action at local and regional levels by outlining educational strategies to raise awareness about climate change and promote sustainable practices.
